| INTERNAL AFFAIRS The Sheriff's Office is committed to providing law enforcement services that are fair, effective and impartially applied. To this end all Law Enforcement are held to the highest standards of official conduct and are required to respect the rights of all law-abiding citizens and inmates confined to the Keogh Dwyer Correctional Facility. The function of the Internal Affairs Unit is to ensure that all members of this office act in accordance with office policies and rules and regulations. All complaints are handled with extreme seriousness under the supervision of the Sheriff and/or his designated Undersheriffs. It is the Internal Affairs Investigator's responsibility to thoroughly investigate all reports of any misconduct by an officer in a fair and impartial manner. Upon completion of the investigation, the confidential investigation report is turned over to the Sheriff for his review and disposition.
