Wanted person apprehended by sheriff’s officers after foot pursuit
- Posted: January 23, 2015
- Arrested: Ryan M. Manca, age 32, of Franklin Borough, NJ.
On Tuesday, December 30, 2014, while assigned to fugitive apprehension duties within the Borough of Franklin, sheriff’s officers Scott Haggerty and Justin McCann responded to the residence of Ryan M. Manca who was the subject of a Superior Court arrest warrant for violation of the terms of his probation.
While Sheriff’s Officer Haggerty was at the front door of Manca’s residence, Officer McCann was at the rear of the home and observed Manca exit the residence through a window. Manca then fled the area on foot with both officers in pursuit. After a brief foot pursuit, Manca was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Sussex County Sheriff’s Office for processing.
Ryan Manca was charged with resisting arrest by flight, a crime of the fourth degree. He was issued a summons for that charge and given a future court date to appear in Sussex County Superior Court.
Ryan Manca was lodged in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility where he remains incarcerated without bail.
